A long-time member of the futures industry at large, Mark Fisher is a globally-respected professional trader, thought-leader, speaker, and the bestselling author of The Logical Trader: Applying a Method to the Madness, featuring a foreword by Paul Tudor Jones. Additionally, Mark has developed a series of market indexes called “The Essential 40.”
Mark has been an independent energy trader for the past 40 years and is frequently interviewed for his market thinking on CNBC and other business-and-investment media.
Mark is also the Founder and CEO of MBF Clearing Corp. and the CEO of Storm Armour, Inc, a company that specializes in cutting-edge solutions designed to tackle water intrusion issues in condominiums and homes.
An avid student of financial market dynamics since his early youth, Mark has stood out for his adaptation and innovation through changing market conditions and market structures. Mark attended The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business 5-year sub-matriculation program (summa cum laude 1982), where he also earned his MBA in Finance/Accounting (summa cum laude 1983). While completing his degrees in an accelerated program, Mark ‘moonlighted’ as an independent member of New York’s COMEX; at the age of twenty-one, he was the youngest ever to trade in the silver futures pit, one of the 1980s most volatile marketplaces.
Mark is equally renowned on and off Wall Street for his philanthropy. He’s dedicated to continuously setting new standards of giving by contributing significant time and financial resources to a number of important charities and civic organizations in the U.S. and throughout the globe. His involvement in mentoring programs in New York has led to more than 600 young men and women receiving college scholarships of nearly $80 million in funds.
